Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of DeckLink, operated by Adam Jones (“DeckLink”, “we”, “us”). By using DeckLink you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

DeckLink hosts presentation decks you upload and gives you a short, trackable link to share them, with view notifications and analytics.

Accounts

  • You sign in by email magic link. Keep access to your email secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

  • You keep all rights to the decks you upload.
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and serve your decks solely to provide the service.
  • You are responsible for your decks and must hold the rights to everything in them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload or share:

  • Content that is illegal, infringing, or violates others’ rights.
  • Malware, phishing, or content designed to harm viewers or their devices.
  • Content that attempts to attack, probe, or abuse DeckLink or its infrastructure.

You also agree not to misuse the service, for example by circumventing rate limits, scraping, or reselling access.

Viewer data and your responsibilities

If you enable the email gate or use view tracking, you are the controller of your viewers’ data. You must have a lawful basis to collect it and provide any notices your viewers are entitled to. You agree to use viewer information only for legitimate purposes related to your deck.

Availability

DeckLink is provided “as is” and “as available.” We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that decks hosted on it are free of vulnerabilities introduced by their authors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeckLink is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or a nominal amount if you are on a free plan).

Termination

You can stop using DeckLink at any time and delete your decks and account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
